It's hot and dry outside, and we’re in the peak of fire season. Fire danger is extreme. Watch this video that has tips from Bend Fire and Rescue on ways to protect yourself and your property.

 

Expanded Summer Shuttle service

The City of Bend has partnered with Cascades East Transit, Bend Park & Recreation District and Visit Bend to bring expanded summer shuttle service to help river floaters and shoppers get around Bend during the busy Summer months.

Council Goal Streets Improvements

The Bend City Council prioritized improving transportation so people can get around efficiently, safely and reliably and over the past year, the Streets Department has made notable improvements, always striving to be accountable to the community we serve.

City Edition - 14th Street Reconstruction

Beginning the first week of April, the 14th street reconstruction project from the Simpson roundabout to Albany Street will begin. The planned improvements will increase safety, mobility and accessibility. Construction closures and detours will be in effect until completion at the end of June.

City Edition - High Rise Fire Training

Bend Fire continually adapts its training to best serve our unique community. This year’s new training focus will be fighting fires on upper floors of taller buildings. 

City Edition - Southeast Interceptor Completion

The City has finished the Southeast Interceptor, also known as the 27th Street Sewer Line. This is 8 miles of gravity fed sewer pipe that's been in the making for more than 20 years!
